The event also marked the official inauguration of 51 members of the East Java Green Industry Forum for the 2025–2027 period, as stipulated in Governor of East Java Decree No.100.3.3.1/834/013/2025.
PT Jatim Taman Steel Manufacturing was recognized for its consistent application of sustainability principles, including energy efficiency, responsible environmental management, and continuous improvement across its production processes.
In her remarks, Governor Khofifah emphasized the importance of accelerating the implementation of green industry practices in East Java as part of Indonesia’s commitment to achieving Net Zero Emissions by 2060, while also encouraging a transition toward Blue Industry—an industrial concept based on zero-waste principles.
“The East Java Green Industry Forum must not only focus on achieving net zero emissions by 2060 through green industry, but also move more rapidly toward blue industry, blue economy, and blue infrastructure,” Governor Khofifah stated.
The East Java Provincial Government acknowledged that the strong participation of companies such as PT Jatim Taman Steel Manufacturing reflects a high level of awareness and responsibility toward environmental sustainability. As a result, the government continues to promote faster administrative processes and enhanced facilitation for businesses committed to green industry initiatives.
The commitment of the East Java Provincial Government to advancing green industry has also been recognized by the central government. Ms. Emmy Suryandari, Head of the Agency for Standardization and Industrial Policy Services (BSKJI), Ministry of Industry of the Republic of Indonesia, praised the leadership of Governor Khofifah in positioning East Java as a national benchmark for green industrial transformation.
“This is an outstanding achievement under the Governor’s leadership. East Java has the potential to become a national model, enabling green industry practices to be implemented across Indonesia,” she remarked.
Through this recognition, PT Jatim Taman Steel Manufacturing further strengthens its position as a responsible steel manufacturer that not only prioritizes business growth, but also upholds environmental stewardship, resource efficiency, and long-term sustainability for future generations.
